Second Hand Ford Sales OnlineFord was one of the first foreign automakers to enter the European market. In fact, their first international manufacturing plant was established in Britain in 1919. And because they produced their vehicles in the UK, they were accepted almost immediately. In this article we will discuss one of the most popular cars in Europe, the Ford Mondeo Hatchback. This particular vehicle has been a top ten seller in the UK since 1993. There are several reasons for this. The first is that hatchbacks are extremely popular in the UK. Not to mention the fact that Ford offers a bevy of options for this particular model. At present, the company has five different petrol and five different diesel models. Because they are cheaper and more fuel efficient, the diesel models are more popular in the UK. According to Ford, about seventy percent of Mondeo hatchbacks that are sold in the UK are diesel models. What about second hand Ford sales? (more...) Shopping for Used Cars OnlineThough the new car market in the UK needed government aid to stay afloat, the used car market did fine without it. We are speaking of course about the government-backed scrappage scheme that gave new car buyers a two-thousand pound discount for turning in old clunkers. The plan was a huge success and it kept the market from going under. How did the used car market survive without government aid? For starters, used cars have outsold new cars by nearly 3-to-1 over the past decade. As you might expect, these numbers only increase when money gets tight and people start looking for more affordable options. On average, a used car is about forty percent less than a new one. The reason for this is that new cars depreciate at an incredible rate. A new car loses about half its value after only three years. There is also the influence of used cars online to consider. (more...) The History of Ford in EuropeFew brands are more distinctly American than Ford. The company has been producing quality automobiles for well over a century now. And in spite of its national appeal, Ford has always been a brand that has concentrated on the global market, rather than the American one. Founded in 1903, Ford shipped its first cars to Britain only three months after it introduced them in the States. The first Ford showroom in Britain opened in 1904 and they had an inventory of a dozen cars. Because sales were initially slow in the UK, the company decided to expand into France, which was Europe's most profitable market at the time. By 1908, there was a Ford Branch in Paris that was established to manage European sales. In time, however, the UK car market surpassed the French one and Ford made the decision to open its first factory outside of North America. It was built in Trafford Park, Manchester, England. The factory would help the forthcoming Model T become the first world car. What about the used Ford? Because of its popularity in Europe, most early used car dealers offered only one model, the Model T. But once competition increased and sales of the legendry model began to decline, the company got to work on a number of new designs. While sales remained strong throughout Europe, the company has always had an extremely strong presence in the UK. The little known Ford Model Y, for example, captured 54 percent of the British market in 1933. (more...) Death of a Salesman? With most car sales companies having websites now and many even offering online car sales, what has happened to the traditional car salesman? Does he still exist? If so, what is he doing? Good question. Yes, car sales people do still exist. Many people still prefer the personal touch when it comes to buying cars. They still like the excitement of visiting the car dealership in person and mooching around the cars to see if there is something they like. So naturally, they will need a sales person to help them through that process. But as an increasing percentage of sales are now made online, the role of a sales person is shifting and they have to adapt new skills and talents to bring to their job. They have to be computer literate and they will have to adapt their communication skills to include enquiries by phone and email. (more...) Online Car PurchasingAlmost anything can be bought online today. From groceries, insurance, clothes to cars, it is all available on the internet. Buying cars online is now a common practice. There are several advantages to searching for used cars online and many prefer conducting their initial search there. There are many companies dealing in a variety of used cars online. Their database is usually large and it is possible to filter results according to your needs. An online car showroom is filled with listings of vehicles of different makes, models and types. With so much choice available, it can be confusing to sift through and narrow your results down. Before starting your search, always make sure that you know what you want. This need not mean that you have a prophetic image of your dream car floating in your head, although this would simplify matters greatly. (more...) Buying a Used Ford MondeoThere are a lot of questions that come up when someone buys a used car. How do you really know if the car is as good as the dealer says it is? In most cases you either have to take the salesman for his word or you have to be versed in automobiles. The used car business is a huge market to invest in because thousands of vehicles get sold every year. As a consumer we have hundreds if not thousands of choices to pick from. One of the most popular brands of cars is the used Ford Mondeo. The Mondeos are a slick and unique car to drive. Because they are made by Ford you know that you are getting quality and excellence. Some people are not as fortunate as those who buy a Ford because they are either unaware of their quality or could not find one for sale. You have to keep your eyes open and search far and wide to find the best possible deals. (more...) Buying a Ford in the UKFord has been one of the world's top automakers for well over a century now. And when we say world, we mean it. From its inception, it was clear that Henry Ford wanted to create a global brand, rather than an American one. Not surprisingly, Ford was the first foreign automaker to ship cars to Europe. Founded in 1903, the first Ford shipment set out for Britain just three months after they were offered to the American public. The company opened its first European showroom, also in Britain, in 1904. But because the UK car market was one of the smaller markets in Europe, Ford chose to expand into France. In 1908, the company established its first European Branch in Paris. By the second decade of the twentieth century, the UK car market had unexpectedly become the largest in Europe. As Ford sales continued to grow, the company made the decision to open its first European factory. The Ford factory in Trafford Park, Manchester, England was opened in 1911. The factory would be instrumental in turning the Model T into the first ever world car. What do you need to know about buying a Ford? (more...) A Second Hand Hyundai Makes for a Quality VehicleWhen it comes to the second hand car market there are few automobile makers out there that can boast the record that Hyundai has. Used cars in general do not last as long as newer counterparts for obvious reasons because they are older and have more miles on the clock. Automobile makers have spent billions of pounds trying to make their cars last longer because it appeals to consumers. Why would a consumer want to buy a car that lasts five years when they can buy one that lasts 15 or more years? This is why a second hand Hyundai has become the vehicle of choice for many people. They are known for their craftsmanship and performance and their ability to last for many years. There are too many different models to list in the Hyundai catalogue but they take pride in each one that comes off of the assembly line. Unlike most used cars that are not as susceptible to rust and wear and tear. (more...) Every Other Car on the Road Seems to be a FordFord have always been amongst the most popular car models in the UK.
